Sevilla are considering a return to the 4-2-3-1 system for Friday's visit of Deportivo Alaves to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. Diario de Sevilla's prediction points to several changes in the line-up after the defeat to Getafe.

Sevilla's main unknown against Deportivo Alaves will be the approach chosen by the coaching staff. According to Diario de Sevilla's prediction, the Nervion side could alter their structure and go back to the 4-2-3-1 system.

The match will be played this Friday at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, where Sevilla FC will be looking to respond after last weekend's setback against Getafe CF. The aim is to rediscover their rhythm and get back to winning ways.

The changes expected in Sevilla's starting XI

The goal would remain in the hands of Odysseas Vlachodimos. In front of him, Juan Iglesias would occupy right-back, with Andres Castrin and Kike Salas as the centre-back pairing. Gabriel Suazo would complete the back line on the left.

The most significant change would come in midfield. Giorgi Kochorashvili could come in to form the double pivot alongside Lucien Agoume, while Youssouf Fofana would operate ahead of them, as the No 10.

This setup would allow Sevilla to have two midfielders with a more positional profile and one player further forward to link up with the attackers. There are still some doubts on the flanks too: Felix Correia appears to have his place on the left sewn up after his recent performances, while Ruben Vargas could line up on the right.

If the coaching staff opt for a lone striker, Lucas Stassin would be the attacking reference.

Sevilla's possible line-up would be Vlachodimos; Juan Iglesias, Andres Castrin, Kike Salas, Gabriel Suazo; Kochorashvili, Agoume; Ruben Vargas, Fofana, Felix Correia; Lucas Stassin.

The change of shape and the uncertainty in the attacking positions will shape the hours leading up to the game. Sevilla need a reaction in front of their own fans and will be aiming for a win against Alaves that allows them to put the defeat to Getafe behind them.
