Fantasy bargains and differentials for Matchday 12
The league rolls on and we are into Matchday 12. Squads are almost set, and picking a good short-term option is vital if you want to squeeze out a strong score. Here we look at 4 players who have gone about their business quietly but could be a good shout for this round.
Hartman1.400.000€-90.000€-
DFEspanyol's full-back looks set to start with Hinojo definitely out, and he is the player he is battling for the spot with. The Dutchman usually does a solid job in the minutes he gets, and for this round he is a good value-for-money option. Espanyol are at home and Sarabia is making his debut as coach, with a game they are expected to win and really need to take.
Guilherme870.000€-
MDOne of the standout goalkeepers of last season, especially in the first half of the campaign, had not started this term well and had even been dropped to the bench with Ramis in charge. His departure and Arrasate's arrival have restored his status and confidence, and in the last round he was their best performer in a positive sense. Once Osasuna start winning, Sergio will get back to his usual strong fantasy returns, so he is a very interesting player to sign now if you are not fully happy with your goalkeeper.
Álvaro Carreras1.620.000€+50.000€-
DFThis is not a safe bet, as Cucurella could well come back in, but the world champion has racked up a lot of minutes and the Portuguese coach may decide to give him a rest. Carreras has been performing well in the minutes he has had this season, and if he plays this weekend he is a good option in defence. As we say, it is risky, but if it comes off, it could be a good pick ahead of the international break.
Pablo Durán1.270.000€+30.000€1
DLThe young Celta forward is not in his best spell and this round is the time for him to step up and put in a strong display in front of his own fans. The opposition is Levante, who will not make life easy, but on paper it is a game Celta have to win if they do not want to get dragged into unexpected trouble. Durán is a player who, if he can find consistency, could become one of this team's key pieces, as at the moment hardly anyone at Celta is performing as expected.
