With a five-man defence, players such as Nino, Rafita, Aznou and Ramon Enriquez have earned a higher status thanks to their good performances in recent matches, while on the other hand, players such as Chupe and Salinas will have to win back confidence if they want to be in the starting XI.

As for Malaga's absentees for this match, the returns of Joaquin Munoz, Pablo Martinez and Recio to training with the squad stand out after they were unable to feature in last week's match. As things stand, the list of Malaga players who are likely to miss this game is made up of Julen Lobete and Aaron Ochoa.

Real Racing Club Santander

The Cantabrian side face another league match with a clear objective: to claim their first away win of the season. Jose Alberto Lopez's men visit Malaga CF, bottom of the division, in a game that comes after the first defeat for the Cantabrian side at El Sardinero, a setback that forces the team to respond in order to rediscover their rhythm and get back to winning ways.

Racing want to turn the page as quickly as possible and find the consistency away from home that has so far eluded them. The trip to Malaga looks like a good chance to make a statement, although the team cannot afford to be complacent against an opponent who, despite sitting bottom of the table, will approach the match needing points to change their momentum.

One of the main headaches for the Racing coach will be the make-up of the defence. Racing travel to Malaga with the injury absences of Andres Martin and Mantilla, two important losses for the manager's plans.

Particularly delicate is the absence of Mantilla. The full-back was the only player in the squad with a natural right-back profile this season, so his injury raises a question over who will fill that role. Jose Alberto will have to find a solution from the options available, either by adapting another player or by reshuffling some of the defensive pieces.
