Luis García clarifies the starting spots for Stassin and Isaac

The management of the forwards has carried significant weight in the selection of the starting XI. Luis García believes that Lucas Stassin’s physical condition means his minutes must be carefully measured, a factor that also affects the role reserved for Robbie Ure during the match.

“I think today we are backing Lucas, who I think we will have to change, okay?, because he is missing something, it’s something logical”, the coach explained. His intention is to have Ure with energy for the final stages, avoiding using both from the start and running out of attacking presence as the game progresses.

Isaac’s starting spot follows a different criterion. Luis García believes that his qualities can adapt well to the match against Valencia, especially thanks to his ability to attack spaces and the work he provides in pressing.

The coach also does not want to pigeonhole Sevilla into a single pattern. The squad allows him to switch between a 4-3-3 and a 4-4-2 depending on the opponent, how the match develops, and the feelings his players convey to him. In that scenario, he also mentioned the options offered by Kocho, Fofana and Jon.
