Renato Sanches close to becoming a new Getafe player

The name of Renato Sanches has been making headlines in the Getafe camp in recent hours. As reported by journalist Sébastien Denis, the Portuguese midfielder and the Madrid club are negotiating a possible move, with the player very interested in the chance to begin a new chapter in Spanish football.

Renato is a free agent after ending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, so Getafe would not need to negotiate a transfer with another club. At 29 years old, the former one of European football's big hopes is looking for stability after several seasons spent on loan at Roma, Benfica and Panathinaikos.

In fact, his most recent experience in Greece left some positive signs. The Portuguese player managed to have more continuity than in previous spells and played 24 matches during his loan at Panathinaikos. His track record of physical issues remains one of the main questions surrounding his signing, but his quality and experience are beyond doubt.
