We review five players with big names who arrive for matchday surrounded by physical doubts or with a dangerous fight for a starting spot. You have been warned: the blank does not care about market prices.
The first matchday comes with more traps than usual. The World Cup, late signings, players who are still getting back up to speed, and last-minute doubts from the coaches turn some names that look safe into full-on Fantasy Russian roulette.

DLLucas Boyé is one of Alavés' biggest sources of uncertainty for the opener against Getafe. The striker had to leave the last friendly against Racing due to a groin issue, and during the week he has barely been able to train normally.
The latest information is a bit more optimistic: it looks like he could make it to the match, but whether he starts is still conditioned by how he feels before the game. If he is fit, Quique Sánchez Flores wants to use him; if not, the alternative is to hold him back and bring him on in the second half.
Fantasy problem? Exactly that. A pricey striker with an issue and whose starting spot can be decided almost in the warm-up is sensitive material. Even if he does play, it would not be surprising if his minutes are managed.

Simon Eriksson convinced during pre-season, while Julen has only been working with his new teammates for a few days.
The signing and the contract until 2031 suggest that Agirrezabala will end up being an important piece, but Fantasy does not score intentions for October: it scores this weekend.
And if José Alberto decides to reward Eriksson 's work over the summer, the new Racing signing could start his new adventure from the bench.

In one of Simeone's early tactical mini-matches, he even appeared with the group of the theoretical substitutes, and afterwards he did additional physical work, a session in which he was seen to be feeling the effort.
Another major problem is his request to leave for Barcelona; the player is not comfortable at Atlético de Madrid and has reiterated on several occasions his desire to be allowed to go, to see how his fans receive him ...
With Sorloth injured, there are not many options up front to choose from. That is why many outlets speculate about his return, although not as a starter, it is almost certain that he will get minutes in this first matchday. The Argentine spider has more than enough quality to make an impact in the time he is on the pitch.

The Deportivo star has been following a specific plan for weeks to move past his pubalgia problems. The progress has been positive, and Fernando Soriano explained this Friday that the player is already doing a very high percentage of training at a good level and without pain, but he is still in the final stretch of his recovery.
The detail that should set off Fantasy alarms is another: Yeremay did not play the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Real Madrid and arrives at the opener practically without any pre-season minutes. Deportivo has been extremely cautious throughout the summer to avoid a relapse.
He could make the squad, he could get minutes, and he could even be a surprise starter if his feelings are excellent. But there is also a very logical scenario in which Antonio Hidalgo would prefer to use him gradually. And few blanks hurt more than the one you had marked as the star of your team.
