The doubt over Lucas Boye has been resolved in the worst possible way. The Argentine forward, who had been struggling all week with adductor discomfort picked up during the last pre-season friendly against Racing de Santander, will miss this afternoon's match against Getafe.

According to the latest information published from the camp of the babazorro side, Boye won't even be on the bench. Alaves has decided not to take any risks with one of its most important players, and the attacker will continue working on his recovery.

With Boye absent, Quique Sanchez Flores has to adjust his attacking plans for the opening match, with Toni Martinez gaining even more prominence in the blue-and-white attack.
