Madrid make Vinicius renewal official

The future of Vinicius is already settled. Real Madrid has confirmed the renewal of the Brazilian winger until June 30, 2032, bringing an end to one of the biggest talking points of the summer. The negotiations had dragged on for months and entered a delicate phase as the player faced his final year of contract. In the end, both sides moved closer and reached an agreement that guarantees the continuity of one of the club's biggest stars.

Speculation has been running wild in recent weeks due to the signing of Yan Diomande, Vinicius's arrival in Madrid to join pre-season and some statements that fueled rumors about a possible exit. However, the meeting held between the club and the player ended up unlocking talks that had been open for more than a year.

The Brazilian's continuation was also a priority for José Mourinho, who considers Vinicius a key piece in his project. With this renewal and the arrival of new reinforcements, the Portuguese coach will kick off the start of the league season with an attack full of talent and options.

In the official statement, Real Madrid said that "the Real Madrid C. F. and Vinicius Jr. have agreed to extend our player's contract, which will keep him tied to the club until June 30, 2032".

The club also recalled the forward's path since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu: "Vinicius Jr. arrived at Real Madrid in July 2018, at 18 years old.
