Osasuna negotiates with Diego Rico for the left-back position
The left-back has become one of the positions to strengthen for Osasuna after Javi Galán left for Celta. In that scenario, Diego Rico emerges as an open option after finding himself without a club.

Javi Galán's departure has left Abel Bretones as the only specialist player for that area of the pitch. That is why Osasuna is working on bringing in a player who will increase the options on the left flank.
The name on the table is Diego Rico, a Burgos-born full-back who is 33 years old. The defender is currently a free agent after ending a three-season spell at Getafe, where he had a role within the blue side's squad.
Rico has an extensive career at the top level. Over the past decade, he has competed in the highest division with Leganés, Bournemouth, Real Sociedad and Getafe, in addition to building experience in different competitive settings.
The talks focus on strengthening a position considered a priority within Osasuna's planning, as at present only Abel Bretones naturally occupies the left-back spot.
