Mikel Oyarzabal could miss Sunday's match against Rayo Vallecano. The Real Sociedad forward did not take part in today's training session because of tonsillitis and his availability will depend on how he feels tomorrow.

Pellegrino Matarazzo confirmed the situation in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Anoeta fixture. The coach explained that the captain's absence has opened the door for Gorka Carrera to be called up.

For now, Oyarzabal is a doubt until the last minute. Real will wait to see how he develops before deciding whether he can be included in the squad and be available to the coach against Beñat San José's side.

Possible replacements

Guedes or Kubo: they could take on a bigger attacking role and shoulder more responsibility from the start.
