Oroz, Herrando and Del Castillo ruled out until after the break

Jagoba Arrasate confirmed that Aimar Oroz, Jorge Herrando and Romain Del Castillo will not be available for the derby.

The good news is that all three are recovering well and could return for the next league fixture.

«It looks as though both Jorge Herrando and Aimar Oroz and Romain Del Castillo will be ready for the next match», he explained.

Osasuna are therefore expecting to get their three injured players back after the international break.

Moi Gomez and Lucas Torro are gaining prominence

The coach particularly praised the form of Moi Gomez, whom he sees as an important part of the team's play.

«I think Moi Gomez is in that moment», he said.

He also spoke positively about Lucas Torro, who is operating as the holding midfielder and improving his performances.

«He is taking a step forward», he noted of the midfielder.

Arrasate left the choice of partner in midfield open, acknowledging that he has several options to complete the centre of the pitch.

Possible changes against Athletic

The coach said that there will be some changes in the squad, although he avoided naming names.

He also stressed that Athletic demand a huge physical effort, so substitutions during the match will be important to maintain the intensity.

Arrasate wants a brave Osasuna, capable of pressing high up the pitch, but without leaving space in behind the defence.

Anai Morales will return in January

The coach confirmed that Osasuna are planning to bring Anai Morales back during the winter transfer window, taking advantage of the option to end his loan at UD Logroñés early.

Arrasate highlighted his good performances and believes he can offer solutions to the squad, although he preferred to put off any assessment of his future role until January.

The coach insisted on the importance of getting back to winning ways at El Sadar after two consecutive defeats away from home.
