The players' union is working to ensure that the matches from the next round are not played in LaLiga's top two divisions. The decision has not yet been made, and the schedule in the top flight complicates a possible postponement.

The Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) is working to try to have the next round of the league suspended in both LaLiga and LaLiga 2 following the death of Jesús de Miguel, a forward for CD Tenerife, which occurred this Tuesday morning.

According to information reported by Gemma Santos on Cadena COPE, the union has begun talks so that the scheduled fixtures are not played as a sign of respect and mourning for the player.

For now, there is no final decision. The possibility of postponing the round in LaLiga 2 and LaLiga is on the table, but in the top division the fit is more complex due to restrictions in the competitive calendar.

The AFE continues to look for a way to implement the measure, although it will be the relevant governing bodies that must rule on whether the scheduled matches are suspended or go ahead.

Impact on Fantasy

For Fantasy managers, the recommendation is to keep an eye on official communications before finalizing lineups or making market moves that are conditional on the round. For now, postponement is a possibility being studied, not a confirmed measure.
