The Sevilla FC receives reassuring updates on the physical condition of Youssouf Fofana and Isaac Romero after the discomfort both players suffered against Getafe. The French midfielder will be available for Friday, while the forward, who has a contusion in his left knee, remains a doubt for matchday 12 of LaLiga EA Sports.

The main concern for the Sevilla squad is now Isaac Romero, who had to leave the Coliseum match before the hour mark. The attacker felt a sharp pain in his left knee and immediately requested a substitution, especially alarmed by a snapping sensation in the joint, according to ABC.

The tests carried out after returning to Seville have, in principle, ruled out a more serious injury. The initial diagnosis points to a contusion, so the player will need to rest for a few days and work individually. His availability for the game against Deportivo Alavés remains up in the air and will depend on how he progresses over the week.

Youssouf Fofana is in a more favorable situation. The midfielder, on loan from Milan, finished the match against Getafe with his performance affected by discomfort in the hip and waist area, although the issue is not serious. Unless something unexpected comes up, Luis García Plaza will be able to call on the Frenchman for Friday's fixture.

The coach himself explained after the match why he decided to substitute him: "He had some discomfort in the waist. It is also true that it is the match in which I have noticed him most uncomfortable, and we have another game in five days, so we couldn't take the risk".

Sierra remains sidelined after undergoing surgery due to a acromioclavicular dislocation suffered against Levante. Marcao, meanwhile, continues to be kept out with a muscular problem in the rectus anterior that he picked up during the first minutes of the match against Aston Villa in the Antonio Puerta Trophy.

The training schedule includes sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday at the training ground, while on Thursday the team will work at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

The Friday clash against the Deportivo Alavés will be the last game before the second international break of the season. After two weeks without league competition, Sevilla will return to action on November 21 against Real Betis, in a new edition of El Gran Derbi to be played at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
