Rayo Vallecano - Athletic Club

Match date: 10/10-14:00

Rayo Vallecano

After raids and a "notable improvement in the facilities" the Rayo returns to their home ground, although things have not gone badly at Butarque.

On the sporting side, Beñat has the absence of Batalla and the doubt over Balliu, with a starting XI that is expected to be defined, with the doubt in the number 10 role where Isi and Pedro Díaz are fighting for a spot.

Up front, the Álvaro-De Frutos-Camello trio will play, delivering such good results, especially the last one, one of LaLiga's top scorers.

Athletic Club

After the international break, Athletic Club have to get the pulse of LaLiga back on track when they visit Vallecas. A tough clash against a side that returns to its home ground after several matchdays away from its stadium, despite having been the home team.

The red-and-white side arrive after putting together two consecutive draws in the league, both at San Mamés, against Elche and Deportivo Alavés. Results that fall short if we take into account the European ambitions of the Basque club.

For this match, the red-and-white coach, Edin Terzic, will not be able to call on two of his best players, Nico Williams and Oihan Sancet. The younger of the Williams brothers picked up an injury during the Spanish national team camp in the international break, while it has recently been reported that Sancet is suffering from a muscle injury. Their places could be taken by Peio Canales and Navarro.

Even so, not everything is bad news in Bilbao. Gorka Guruzeta is already available after overcoming his issues, as is Dani Vivian, who still has not made his debut in the current league season.

A great atmosphere is expected in the stands between two sets of fans that maintain an excellent relationship. Athletic Club will try to take a positive result from their trip to Vallecas that brings them closer to the European spots in the table.
