One of the most tense moments of the Alavés-Getafe clash came after the substitution of Ángel Pérez. The player showed his frustration as he arrived at the bench and Quique Sánchez Flores did not hesitate to call him out for his behaviour. An episode that inevitably raises a question among his Fantasy managers: could his place in the starting XI be in danger?

Deportivo Alavés

The Deportivo Alavés began the season with a resounding 3-0 win over Getafe, but the match left an image that is generating plenty of talk beyond the result.

The star was Ángel Pérez, one of the players who had caused the most danger down the right flank during the game. In the 64th minute, Quique Sánchez Flores decided to replace him to bring on Yusi. The decision did not go down well with the player.

Upon arriving at the bench, Ángel Pérez vented his frustration by hitting the seat several times, a reaction that did not go unnoticed by his coach. Quique went over to the player immediately and delivered a forceful verbal dressing-down in front of the rest of the bench.

Could there be punishment for Ángel Pérez?

This is the part that matters most to Fantasy players.

For now, there are no signs that Quique Sánchez Flores is going to drop the player or punish him in any sporting sense. In fact, the information published afterwards suggests that Ángel Pérez apologised to the coach for his reaction, so everything could end up being just a heated moment sparked by frustration at the substitution. It is also worth separating the incident from his sporting output.

Ángel Pérez once again showed himself to be direct and very active down the right flank against Getafe. AS highlighted his ability to create danger in particular, and in the second half he was behind one of Alavés' best attacking moments, arriving down the flank and providing a cross that ended up forcing David Soria to intervene.

What do we do with him in Fantasy?

For now, stay calm.

The incident slightly increases the risk around the player, especially because it was Yusi who came on in his place, but it seems too soon to interpret the outburst as a direct threat to his starting spot.

Also, in his press conference, the manager was asked about the clash and, with a smile on his face, he wanted to put an end to any kind of controversy: "Today I want him more than yesterday. I told him"
