The friendly allowed Marín to get his bearings again after several weeks out. Although he finished a bit more tired than usual, the feelings were positive: “I already had a lot of desire to be able to play again and I am very happy”.

The player also downplayed the result of the match due to the lack of shared minutes between several players. “We tried to give it our all and win, but it couldn't be”, he explained.

His absence was extended after suffering a relapse during his recovery. Marín acknowledged that the process ended up dragging on, especially because he was unable to take on the same pace as his teammates: “I was a bit eager to get back on the pitch, but we're back now”.

Regarding Real Sociedad's work during the break, the midfielder highlighted the team's sensations. “I think we're training really well, we're working on a lot of things and I believe that in this run of matches coming up we're going to do well”.

Marín also assessed the competition within the squad and said that everyone must be ready to contribute when they get an opportunity.
