The release of the squad numbers by the RFEF has cleared up doubts about the final call-up for the match at the Carlos Tartiere. One of the standout names is Roberto Fernández, who enters a 23-man list for De la Fuente for the first time.

The forward from Puente Genil will wear shirt number 17 and will have the chance to play his first minutes for Spain if the coach decides to use him during the game.

It is a different situation for Carlos Espí. The attacker arrived late at night at the Blau Hotel Las Caldas in Oviedo from Ibiza, where he had been training with the Under-21s, but he has ultimately not made the squad to face the Czech Republic.

Espí will have to wait to try to make his debut for the senior team. His next opportunity will come in Split against Croatia, the next fixture for the Spanish side.

The other notable absence is that of Pau Cubarsí. The centre-back will rest this Saturday after playing every minute for De la Fuente at the World Cup and also the first two matches of the Nations League, against England and Croatia.

His absence opens up options in central defence. Robin Le Normand, who will wear the number 3 shirt, could form a partnership with Aymeric Laporte, although Dean Huijsen also appears as an option to take the right side of the defensive line.
