Carlos Romero is one of those defenders worth making a financial effort for, not only because of his market trend but also because of his performances. After two great seasons at Espanyol, he returns to Villarreal to be part of the first team, arriving with a profile that could pay off thanks to his strong run, intensity and an attacking contribution. The new Villarreal under Iñigo Pérez looks set to be one of the competitive teams in the top half, and he could end up fighting again for Champions League spots. His price, close to 42 million is not small change, but I think it could be a good bet to start the season with guarantees, especially with a favorable matchup on paper against the newly promoted Racing de Santander.

The Getafe has once again arrived at the start of the league season needing to reinvent itself, with the departures of key pillars like Milla, Arambarri and Juan Iglesias. One of the arrivals on loan is Andrés García, a very interesting option for J1, not even reaching ten million. The full-back stands out for his strong running, power to join the attack and ability to win duels, while also offering defensive solidity and good aerial play.
