Julio Díaz targets the Sanchez-Pizjuán after the deal is unblocked
The move for Julio Díaz enters its decisive phase. The left-back for Atlético de Madrid has been given permission to complete his exit, and Sevilla FC is looking to finalize an agreement agreed over four seasons.

The financial key to the deal is already in place: the Seville club will pay close to 1.5 million euros, with variables included, for the 50% of the player’s rights. Unless there is a last-minute setback, the player will travel to Sevilla this Tuesday to undergo a medical check, sign his contract and be officially confirmed as a new Sevilla player.
The operation had lost momentum in recent days due to Oso’s continued presence, after his move to Olympiacos failed to materialize. Even so, the coaching staff kept the interest alive and talks between the clubs continued until the remaining details were unblocked.
The Sevilla side wants Julio Díaz to get to work under Luis García Plaza as soon as possible. It is even being considered that he could join the squad traveling to the pre-season training camp in the Netherlands, once the medical and contractual formalities have been completed.
Sevilla move ahead of Levante for Julio Díaz
The defender’s destination appeared to be heading towards Levante UD, with his arrival already well advanced. The appearance of the Nervion club changed the picture and ended up convincing both the player and the Atlético side to steer the transfer towards the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.
Julio Díaz will be the fifth signing for Sevilla this summer, after Juan Iglesias, Sangante, Guridi and the return of Vlachodimos, in a squad that continues to take shape ahead of the new season.
