Getafe on the verge of making a new midfield signing

The move is still not closed, but the exit route is starting to take shape. As reported by A Bola, the deal could be structured as a loan with a buy option, either mandatory or exercisable in 2027, a formula that would allow Getafe to bring the player in without having to pay a high transfer fee right now.

Sporting had a different idea. The Portuguese club paid 5.5 million euros to Levante a year ago for the Georgian international and was looking for a permanent sale to recoup part of that investment. The need to find him a destination this summer, however, has given more weight to the loan as the most viable option.
