Ahead of the clash between Betis and RCD Espanyol at La Cartuja stadium, Pellegrini explained that the Brazilian defender will return from his trip due to a personal matter and that the decision will be made after speaking with him. During the previous training session, the team practiced without Natan or Bakambu.

In the words of the Real Betis coach, the defender’s situation affects the scenario: “Natan arrives in the evening and tomorrow we will talk with him. He is going through a difficult personal time and this is not the ideal situation nor the right conditions to focus on the match. So we will see after the conversation with him tomorrow,” he pointed out this Good Friday.

The Chilean coach also ruled out Lo Celso for this commitment, as well as Ortiz and Isco. “We’ll see the rest of the squad tomorrow but Ortiz and Lo Celso won’t be there. Ortiz still has some time to go due to his injury and Lo Celso is not yet fully available although he is on the right track. Those two will not be there,” he added.

Pellegrini also recalled that he must adjust the squad: “We are 26 and must call up 23. The internationals have been arriving on different days and we will make the list,” he commented ahead of the match against RCD Espanyol.
