RCD Mallorca paid the price during their league debut against FCB. Two expulsions (Morlanes with a double yellow and Muriqi with a straight red) and a harsh 0-3 defeat. Both will miss matchday 2 due to suspension. The draw allows Mallorca to return to Son Moix in this second matchday to seek their first points in the competition against Celta de Vigo. Arrasate's men will have to go for the three points against the Galician team, which also failed to win at Balaidos (0-2 against Getafe), to avoid entering matchday 3 without any points on the board.

For the match, the Basque coach will have to reshape the starting eleven due to the absences of the suspended players. Initially, the absence of Muriqi's will be filled by Mateo Joseph or Abdón. *Morlanes* absence in midfield will be covered by Mascarell or Kombulla in a five-man defense and Antonio Sánchez, Samu Costa is doubtful for the squad, as he has *partially returned to training* due to a knee contusion.

Celta de Vigo faces this second matchday with the need to react after a disappointing start: they lost 0-2 against Getafe at Balaídos, in a match where the football wasn't shining, and where the celestes never found themselves at any moment. The team needs to step up and quickly improve in this season's beginning, especially in defense, where the absence of Starfelt disrupts the plans of Giráldez. A closed and physical duel is foreseen, with few goals expected. Therefore, it will be important to regain a competitive edge defensively and not give anything away to the opponent.

Regarding the team, changes are expected, as it couldn't be otherwise. We will likely see the emergence of Carlos Domínguez, recently renewed, in the center of the defense. It wouldn't be surprising to see moves on the wings, where Sergio Carreira, Hugo Álvarez, or Javi Rueda are ready to contribute to the team. In midfield, only the presence of Ilaix Moriba seems certain, who had a very discreet performance against Getafe but was one of the best during the preseason. Upfront, the most stable options at the moment seem to be Iago and Ferrán, with the third spot forming a true mystery. All have chances, as competition is high in the attack.
