Celta de Vigo is preparing for their LaLiga debut this Sunday against Getafe, with a focus on integrating their two latest signings, Bryan Zaragoza and Borja Iglesias, who are working to reach their best physical form.
Both players are in different situations. Bryan Zaragoza, coming from Bayern, needs more time to adapt, as he has only been two weeks in preseason with Celta and played just 30 minutes in a friendly against Wolverhampton. The Malaga-born player, who did most of his preparation on his own, will require approximately a couple more weeks to optimize his physical condition and unleash his full potential. On the other hand, Borja Iglesias arrives in a more favorable situation. After completing preseason with Betis, the Panda is familiar with Celta's system and with most of the squad, although his participation in friendlies was limited to 45 minutes in Portugal over the summer.
Both will be in the squad for the weekend's match, although most likely not as starters, but with the possibility of getting minutes during the game. Claudio Giráldez, Celta's coach, has emphasized the importance of Zaragoza and Iglesias, being the two signings he insisted on the most in recent weeks to strengthen the team for the new season.
