Racing - Real Madrid
Match date: 01/11-16:15
Real Racing Club Santander
The Racing host Real Madrid after overcoming Espanyol (2-1), and with the aim of extending their strength at El Sardinero, where they still do not know defeat this season. Jose Alberto López's side sit 13th with 11 points and face a demanding fixture, especially due to their defensive problems: they have conceded 26 goals in ten matchdays. In addition, today Thursday they have a cup commitment against Ribadesella, which could affect how they manage their efforts.
The main absence will be Jorge Salinas, suspended for accumulation of yellow cards, which opens the door for Aarón Martín at left-back. Matteo Prati, who was replaced due to discomfort against Espanyol, has already rejoined collective training and looks set to be available. Simon Eriksson is also improving, returning to work with the group after his shoulder issues.
As for the XI, Agirrezabala is set to start in goal, with Mantilla, Pablo Ramón and Belocian in defense. Iván Martín and Prati have options to line up in midfield, while Sergio Canales, Íñigo Vicente and Andrés Martín appear as the main attacking arguments behind Zabiri. Racing will need to improve their solidity without giving up their ability to create danger going forward.

Real Madrid C.F.
The Real Madrid travel to Santander boosted by the extremely important win over Barcelona (1-2) in the Clasico, which could be a turning point in the season. Jose Mourinho's side are third with 24 points, after collecting eight wins in ten matchdays, and they want to keep the pressure on the top end. The Whites face a demanding week, with subsequent trips to AEK Athens in the Champions League and to Valencia, so some rotation in the lineup is not ruled out.
The most important, and positive, absence is Vinícius Júnior, who is suspended and continues to serve his four-match ban. Rodrygo will also miss out due to a knee injury, as will Raúl Asencio, with a tibia fracture. The issue lies with Fede Valverde and Arda Güler: although they are not injured, today they did not train with the rest of their teammates, most likely due to workload management.
In the possible XI, Mbappé remains the attacking reference, supported by Bellingham, Güler and Diomande. Tchouaméni looks set to start in midfield, and Bernardo Silva has options to join him. In defense, Huijsen and Konaté have the edge to form the centre-back pairing, with Cucurella at left-back. The main uncertainty is at right-back, where Mourinho must decide between keeping Valverde or bringing in Dumfries, especially after the Uruguayan's recent discomfort. Courtois appears to have recovered from the flu process that made him miss the Clasico, and he looks set to be involved.
