DLThe international break has ended earlier than expected for Martín Satriano. The attacker had returned to a call-up with the Uruguay senior national team and was working under Diego Forlán, but his discomfort has forced a change of plans.
The Uruguayan federation informed Getafe about the situation and, after contact between the two sides, it was agreed that the player would return to Spain. The aim is for him to begin his recovery process with the blue-and-white squad after inflammation was detected in his knee.
More tests needed before a demanding week
Satriano's condition is a setback for José Bordalás, although for now the extent of his problem has not been confirmed, nor whether he will miss any of the upcoming matches. The forward will undergo more tests once he returns to Spain.
Getafe will resume training this week with two major fixtures on the horizon. On Saturday, they will face FC Barcelona, while next week they will take on Universitatea Craiova in Romania for their European debut. Satriano's availability will depend on how he evolves and on the tests he undergoes after his return.
