The physical situation comes at an important time for a player who is close to turning 19 and who has the club's trust. During last summer, he received offers from Germany, Switzerland and Italy, but Valencia's club decided not to negotiate his exit due to the lack of reinforcements for the wide positions.

The only option considered in the event of a departure would have been a loan without a purchase option. Valencia views Otorbi as an important piece for both the present and the future of the team.

The academy player is under contract until 2028, with a clause that would allow his deal to be extended until 2031. To activate it, he must play more than 45 minutes in ten LaLiga matches. So far, he has reached that minimum in three matches, so he still needs to do it in another seven.
