The Villarreal will host Levante this matchday at La Cerámica after securing in Málaga their first win of the season, a necessary triumph following a very disappointing start and one that can help free up the team and give them confidence. The groguets also left good feelings, especially by managing to respond to Málaga's goal and come back when things looked like they were getting complicated. This time, they will face a Levante that arrives more rested than expected, since their match against Athletic was postponed (far too late) due to heavy rain in Valencia.

In the injury/absence department, the Argentine Foyth continues recovering from his physical problems, while Santi Comesaña is a serious doubt. The Galician had to come off injured in Málaga after a heavy challenge and left La Rosaleda on crutches, so it seems difficult that he will be available, pending the results of the tests.

As for the starting XI, there are quite a few doubts after the good performances of some players in Thursday's match. Freeman seems to have gained a lot of ground at full-back and could edge out a Mouriño who hasn't started off too well. Pape Gueye, who replaced Comesaña and scored a brace, should return to the midfield alongside Saliba, while Pépé will go back to the right wing unless there is a surprise, despite the good minutes from Ilias. Finally, Moleiro and Buchanan will fight for the left-wing spot, while up front the expected duo is Gerard Moreno - Mikautadze.

After the embarrassment of last Wednesday, with LaLiga's NEGLIGENCE for not postponing the match despite orange alert from 14h, making no decision at any point having to be the referee in charge of suspending the game with thousands of fans already at the Ciutat de València, Levante arrive at the Cerámica stadium to take on a tricky regional derby with a clean week and far more rest than their opponents.
This will allow many players who were in doubt during the week to appear in an XI that leaves some questions, especially in the center of the defense, where Ndukwe's debut left good impressions and could start, just as was announced in the match that was ultimately postponed.
So we could see an XI very similar to the one announced on Wednesday for the match against Athletic.Etta Eyong and Hugo Sotelo continue recovering from their respective injuries and will miss this matchday.
