Ifeanyi Ndukwe is already in Valencia to become the new player of Levante
The Levante UD is about to make the signing of Ifeanyi Ndukwe official. The young central defender from Liverpool is already in Valencia to complete the final formalities of a deal that will be finalized through a loan.
Levante U. D.
New move in the transfer market for the Levante UD. The Granota side has practically closed the arrival of Ifeanyi Ndukwe, an Austrian central defender just 18 years old who belongs to Liverpool.
According to what was reported this Wednesday by Cadena SER Valencia, Levante and Liverpool reached an agreement for the loan of the player for one season and with no option to buy. This Thursday, Ndukwe has already been seen in Valencia and at the Ciutat de València facilities, so the operation is pending only the final formalities and the official announcement.
One of Liverpool's young promises arrives at Levante
Ndukwe was born in 2008 and stands out especially for his imposing physique. With 1.98 meters in height, his natural position is center back, and he is considered one of the most interesting projects in Liverpool's academy.
The English club signed the player this summer from Austria Vienna, after agreeing his transfer months earlier for an amount close to the 3 million euros.
During pre-season he got opportunities with Liverpool's first team and left very good impressions, featuring in several friendlies and even sharing the center of the defense with Virgil van Dijk against Monaco.
Work permit helps pave the way for his arrival in LaLiga
The main reason for this loan is linked to the work permit required to compete in England. Ndukwe still does not meet the requirements needed to play official matches for Liverpool in the Premier League.
The chance to compete in LaLiga will allow the center back to rack up minutes and experience at the highest level, as well as to meet the requirements needed to return to England in the future.
This situation opened up a market opportunity that Levante has taken advantage of to bring in a player who had sparked interest from several European clubs.
What can we expect from Ndukwe in Fantasy terms?
The arrival of Ifeanyi Ndukwe at Levante adds a new option to the defense of Luís Castro. His youth means some patience will be required, but his performance during Liverpool's pre-season and his physical attributes make him a player worth keeping a close eye on.
In Comunio, Biwenger, Liga Fantasy and Futmondo terms, he could become an interesting addition, especially if he initially appears with a low market value.
That said, first we will need to check when he is registered and what role Luís Castro has in mind for him. Levante is betting on a loan with no option to buy, so everything points to Liverpool wanting the player to get minutes and continue his development in the top flight.
