Barcelona's position is not straightforward. At the Camp Nou, they see Fort as a future asset and his valuation is around 20 million euros, although the club could accept a deal close to 10 million if it keeps a percentage of a future sale or includes a buy-back option.

The need to free up wage budget also weighs on the decision. A sale structured with those conditions would give the Blaugrana club some financial breathing room, while still not losing full control over a player developed in its academy.

Fort stands out for his ability to play on both full-back flanks, his strength in one-on-ones, and his running to join the attack. The Borussia Dortmund believes those traits can be adapted well to its style of play and wants to move the deal forward as soon as possible, while waiting for a formal proposal with specific figures.

Borussia Dortmund is not the only team keeping an eye on Héctor Fort. In the Premier League, Everton, Fulham and Liverpool have asked about his situation, while the Inter de Milán and the Bayer Leverkusen have also followed the blue-and-red full-back closely. In total, there would be at least ten clubs in England, Italy and Spain interested in the academy player.
