Sevilla is exploring the signing of Ellyes Skhiri, who has been sidelined by Eintracht. The club continues negotiations for Kochorashvili while also looking for two forwards.

The Sevilla club is expanding its list of options to strengthen the midfield. The latest name on the radar in Nervion is Ellyes Skhiri, a 31-year-old Tunisian midfielder who has an open door to leave Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Sevilla side has already made contact to find out the terms of a possible deal. For now, there is no agreement or advanced negotiations. The main issue to resolve would be the formula to take the player out of the German club.

Skhiri is going through a difficult spell in Frankfurt. He has been left out of the first-team set-up and does not figure in Adi Hütter's plans, who wants to work with a smaller squad. His situation makes it easier for him to look for an exit this summer. The reason is that the German club signed Raphaël Onyedika, which has left the Tunisian midfielder definitively without a place in the middle of the park.

Coming off playing in the Champions League

An international with Tunisia and with recent experience in European competitions, the midfielder played the Champions League last season. He would bring work rate, balance and range to a position that needs reinforcements following the departures of Gudelj and Baptiste Mendy.

The Skhiri option does not mean that Sevilla has ruled out Giorgi Kochorashvili. The two operations can run in parallel because the club wants to bring in more than one pivot to rebuild that area of the pitch.

Sevilla is also working to complete the arrival of two forwards before the start of LaLiga. Planning is entering its decisive phase, and the sporting directorate keeps several fronts open.
