The possible return of Dani Ceballos to Real Betis is once again one of the big talking points of the transfer market. The name of Dani Ceballos is once again linked to Real Betis for another summer. After finishing his spell at Real Madrid, the Utrera midfielder keeps returning to Heliópolis as his top priority, although the move remains dependent on the delicate financial situation of the verdiblanco side. Even so, both parties do not lose hope and a possible reunion continues to be one of the great transfer-market sagas.

Ceballos' desire is to return to the Benito Villamarín

After ending his association with Real Madrid, Dani Ceballos is currently without a club and free to negotiate his future. The midfielder has rejected major offers coming from abroad (Ajax, Marseille...) and continues to wait for a call from Real Betis, a club he has always said he wants to return to. He has even recently changed his representation agency in an attempt to make a deal that is still complex easier to carry out.

However, the main obstacle is not sporting, but financial. The salary he earned at the white club is far above Betis' current possibilities (although everything points to the fact that he has not caused problems when it comes to a significant pay cut), which also has as a priority strengthening the forward line before taking on other signings. The verdiblanco club also needs to create wage room through several exits in order to be able to consider an operation of this scale.

Are they all just rumours, or will his return crystallize this year?

After the countless hints from the Utrera player to the Heliópolis outfit, everything points to the fact that this summer they are set to meet... Especially after ruling out Amrabat's arrival in Seville due to his high price and salary.

Ceballos' arrival would represent a step up in quality for Betis' midfield. Manuel Pellegrini has always valued very highly his ability to direct the game, his personality on the ball and his experience at the very highest level.

At 30 years old, the Spanish international would return much more mature than when he left Betis in 2017. In addition, his knowledge of the club and the city would make an immediate adaptation easier, something that is highly valued by the sporting directorate in this market... All of this, together with the fact that he would be part of the A List of academy players for the Champions League, makes Ceballos one of the big signings of this summer.
