Celta enter the picture for Andre Almeida after holding up his move to Swansea
The future of André Almeida could take a major turn. The Portuguese midfielder at Valencia is said to have decided not to accept, at least for now, Swansea's offer and the Celta de Vigo have entered the scene with an interest in securing his services.

MDAccording to journalist Nacho Sanchis, the Vigo club moved into the deal in the last few hours and Almeida is said to have asked for time before making a decision. The chance to stay in LaLiga and play in Vigo is appealing to the player, who was not convinced about making the jump to England's Championship.
Celta need to make room before moving forward
The main obstacle for Celta is currently in their own squad. The Galician club needs to confirm some departures before it can seriously push for Almeida, with Ilaix Moriba among the players whose future remains up in the air.
Valencia, for its part, was indeed willing to complete the deal with Swansea, but it was missing the player's approval. Almeida has a contract with the Valencia side until 2029, after the renewal officially announced by the club.
The deal is still open, but the arrival of Celta changes the picture: the Portuguese player would rather wait to see whether the option of continuing in LaLiga ends up becoming a concrete proposal.
