Enes Ünal could be getting closer to returning to Getafe. The Turkish forward has reportedly reached an agreement with the Azulones to return to LaLiga on a permanent deal, although the final negotiations with Bournemouth are still pending.

Getafe CF

The potential return of Enes Ünal to Getafe has gathered pace over the past few hours. As journalist Álvaro Ramos has reported, the attacker already has an agreement in place with the Madrid club to begin a second spell at the Coliseum.

The understanding between the player and Getafe would represent an important step, but the deal still cannot be considered closed. The forward is under contract with the Bournemouth until 2028, and both clubs will have to find a formula that allows his transfer to be completed.

Getafe look for an agreement with Bournemouth

The information in question indicates that Bournemouth still has some payments pending related to the transfer carried out in 2024. This situation could make negotiations easier and allow both parties to offset part of the amounts involved in the new deal.

Álvaro Ramo adds that the English club would prefer for the forward to return to the Coliseum. Bournemouth paid around €16.5 million for Enes Ünal after initially bringing him in on loan. The English side ultimately completed the move and the attacker signed a four-season contract.

The Turkish striker's exit has been on the table for several days. Sevilla has also held talks in an attempt to sign him, and there are other Spanish teams that are still monitoring his situation. However, the agreement reached with Getafe could put the Azulones in a favorable position.

A much-anticipated return at the Coliseum

Enes Ünal left a big mark during his first spell at Getafe. The forward played 109 official matches and scored 36 goals in the Azulones shirt, becoming one of the team's main attacking references.

His time in the Premier League has been shaped by injuries. The Turkish international suffered two serious knee problems that stalled his adaptation and prevented him from getting the consistency expected in England. Despite that, he is now fully recovered and is taking part in Bournemouth's pre-season.

From a Fantasy perspective, a potential signing would be one of the most eye-catching additions in the Getafe market. Ünal knows LaLiga, the club and the Coliseum set-up inside out. If he can maintain his physical consistency, he would have a strong case to become one of the Azulones' main attacking references once again.
