Official: Suleiman Camara leaves Racing and heads to Slovan Bratislava

The Racing de Santander continues to move forward in its outgoing operation and has already closed one of the departures that were planned for this summer transfer window. Suleiman Camara has been transferred to Slovan Bratislava, champions of the Slovak league and regular participants in European competitions, after the agreement reached between both entities. 

The departure of the attacker was an option that had been on the table for weeks. Although the player had sparked the interest of several teams, including the Cadiz, finally it was the Slovak side that convinced both the player and Racing with a deal that allows the Cantabrian club to receive money for a player who still had a contract until June 2028.

The Slovan Bratislava, coached by Yaya Touré, signs a 24-year-old footballer with enormous physical ability, speed, and a knack for causing problems in one-on-one situations. In addition, he will have the chance to take part in continental competitions, an important showcase to keep growing and establishing himself in European football. 

Suleiman arrived at Racing in the summer of 2024 from the UD Ibiza as a long-term prospect. His first campaign was one of adaptation, with a secondary role, but during the previous season he managed to earn a place in the rotation of José Alberto. He played 37 official matches, surpassed one thousand minutes on the pitch, and delivered performances of a high level that ultimately made him an important option for the Racing coach. 

His name will forever be linked to the club's recent history. The winger scored the fourth goal against the Real Valladolid, a strike that sealed the long-awaited promotion of Racing to LaLiga after fourteen years away. An action that will be etched in the memory of Racing supporters and that turned Suleiman into one of the main characters of an unforgettable season. 

With this move, the Racing continues to thin out a squad that needed to free up space to take on the demanding challenge of LaLiga EA Sports. The sporting directorate continues to work to balance the group and believes that the sale of Suleiman benefits all the parties: the club gets a financial return, the player takes an important step in his career, and Slovan adds a footballer with a significant margin for growth.
