The Alavés already has its third signing of the summer. The Vitoria club has completed the arrival of Miguel Rodríguez, who signs until 2031 after the Basque club paid 2.5 million euros to Utrecht for his transfer.

At 23 years old, the Galician winger returns to Spanish football after a spell in the Eredivisie that has helped him grow. With Utrecht playing 46 official matches, he registered 10 goals and provided three assists, figures that ultimately convinced the sporting leadership led by Sergio Fernández.

Rodríguez arrives to increase competition on the flanks in Quique Sánchez Flores' team. His natural position is right winger, although he can also operate on the left or even play in inside areas. His pace, ability to take on defenders, and knack for breaking lines were some of the qualities that weighed most in Alavés' decision.

The new signing has already joined the squad's training camp in Navata, where he will work alongside his new teammates until the end of the pre-season stage. His official presentation will take place next week, once the party returns to Vitoria.

Trained in Celta's youth system, Miguel Rodríguez made his debut in LaLiga at just 17 years old. With the Sky Blues, he went on to play 32 matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists, before moving on to Utrecht. His performances in the Netherlands convinced the Dutch club to keep hold of his rights, but now the player faces a new opportunity in LaLiga with the aim of establishing himself.
