Akor Adams heads to Venice and Sevilla look for a replacement

The departure of Akor Adams has accelerated the moves at Nervion. With the transfer of the Nigerian to Venezia already completed for a sum of more than 15 million euros, the Sevilla FC has begun talks with the surroundings of Fran Navarro to assess the possibility of bringing him in.

The Valencian forward, 28 years old, plays for Sporting de Braga and is under contract until 2029. The deal is still at an early stage: there is dialogue with the player's agent, although for now no formal offer has been submitted to the Portuguese club.

Luis García Plaza has requested a specific reinforcement for the attacking end. After the departures of Maupay, Alexis Sánchez and Akor Adams, Isaac Romero remains as the only natural reference in the squad, a situation that forces the club to move in the market to balance the offensive area.

The formula for the deal, still open

Fran Navarro arrived at Braga after his spell in Portugal, where he also played for Gil Vicente and FC Porto, having been developed in the youth system of Valencia CF. In the last season, he scored 4 goals in 661 minutes in Liga Portugal, a limited contribution that could make a move easier if a satisfactory offer comes in.

Sevilla's initial plan is a loan, a route that fits within the wage margin the club is working with this summer. Sporting de Braga, however, wants to protect itself with a buy option included in the agreement in order to maintain economic control over the forward.

José Ignacio Navarro, head of sporting direction, has already secured the signings of Jon Guridi, Juan Iglesias and Arouna Sanganté. Even so, the club admits that both possible exits and new arrivals remain open, with several names on the table to fill the gap left by Adams.
