Víctor Jr. will play on loan at Real Valladolid without a buy option
Valencia CF is set to push through the temporary departure of Víctor Jr. to Real Valladolid for the 2026/27 season. The attacking midfielder, aged 18, will make the step up to LaLiga Hypermotion after a standout campaign with VCF Mestalla.
Valencia CF
The decision has been made after assessing the space the player could have in Corberán's squad. Víctor Fernández was hoping to start pre-season with the first team, but both the club and the player have understood that his development needs minutes, continuity and a competitive setting like Segunda División.
The agreement between Valencia CF and Real Valladolid is expected to be finalized this Monday with the signing of the paperwork. If nothing unexpected happens during the medical check or the presentation formalities, the attacker will be able to join the team's pre-season work this very week under the direction of Fran Escribà.
The loan will be without a buy option, meaning Valencia retains control over a player they have under contract until 2029. The deal also includes a clause that penalizes the Pucela club if the left-hander does not reach a previously agreed quota of matches.
Before opting for Valladolid, Valencia considered several alternatives to send the player out on loan. Albacete, Andorra and Granada were also among the options, although the sentimental side of the blanquivioleta club ultimately carried weight in the choice.
Víctor arrives in Pucela after a brilliant season in Segunda RFEF. He was loaned out by Levante UD at VCF Mestalla and finished the campaign with 12 goals and four assists, numbers that convinced the VCF Academy officials and the sporting direction of Ron Gourlay to carry out the payment of 100,000 euros to the Granota club and secure his rights.
A return with family weight
The move also represents a homecoming in terms of his formative years. Víctor Jr. came through Real Valladolid's youth system before leaving for Levante UD when he made the jump from cadet to youth level, and the Valladolid club has a special link with his family.
At Zorrilla, his father also began to stand out as a goalscorer in LaLiga. Now, Real Valladolid wants to return to the top flight and will have Víctor Jr. as one of the signings earmarked to strengthen that goal during the 2026/27 campaign.
