Goalkeeping has become one of Deportivo de La Coruña's priorities as they prepare for their return to La Liga. Although Álvaro Ferllo made a good impression after arriving in the winter window and Germán Parreño has just renewed his contract, the sporting directorate wants to raise the level of competition between the posts.

Against that backdrop, Diego Conde is a name that stands out. The Madrid-born goalkeeper, currently at Villarreal CF, is one of the profiles that appeals most to Riazor as they look to complete the squad for next season.

Conde joined Villarreal in 2024 after signing a standout campaign with CD Leganés. According to journalist Osman Altunrerim, the keeper is considering two main possibilities: the Deportivo and the Hull City AFC.

The same information adds that the player views the prospect of landing at Riazor more favorably, where he would have more chances to compete for a starting spot. Destano?lu was considered one of European football's great prospects a few years ago and in 2021 he was among the candidates for the Golden Boy award for the continent's best under-21 talents.
