Alejandro Balde could become one of the standout names of the summer for the Barcelona. While the club continues to fine-tune its squad for the 2026-27 season, sources in England have placed the blue-and-red full-back on the radar of the Manchester City.

Various reports from English football claim that City is seriously considering launching an approach for the defender. His youth, physical ability and attacking run fit the profile the English champions are looking for to strengthen the left flank. The same sources point to a deal that could be around the 70 million euros.

Balde is among the players whose departure is not considered untouchable. Sporting management is open to studying moves that would allow to generate revenue and keep room to maneuver in the market. The full-back, who is under contract until 2028, has had a different season compared to the previous ones. Perdió prominence in some stretches of the campaign and stopped being a regular in the starting lineups. Even so, he featured in 42 matches and remains one of the squad's most promising defenders.

The possible departure of Balde would also not completely change the club's sporting planning, as the Barcelona still has the goal of bringing in Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis following his recent spell with the team. In addition, Marc Cucurella is among the names that appeal as a left-flank reinforcement if a sale does ultimately happen.
