Oviedo holds firm with nine against a toothless Getafe

The match arrived loaded with urgency for the Asturians, needing a win to keep their survival hopes alive. Opposite them, Bordalás's Getafe visited Tartiere with the chance to strengthen their European bid but ended up letting a golden opportunity slip despite playing many minutes with a numerical advantage.

First half

The game started with shocks from the first minute. Eric Bailly had to be treated very early and barely continued, leaving his place to David Costas in the 12th minute. Before that, Getafe had already warned with a shot from Martín Satriano that found a response in Aarón Escandell.
