The idea is for the Belgian goalkeeper to gradually rejoin the team's training sessions in the coming days. With almost everything decided, no unnecessary risks are expected, although the margin until the visit to Barcelona plays in favor of his return.

A month and a half out

The injury happened when Madrid was still fighting for the League and Champions, but the situation has changed: by his return, the team is already out of Europe and practically out of contention for the domestic championship. His absence has been seen as one of the blows explaining the season's end, in a campaign marked by physical problems and the internal lament that “This way it's impossible”.

Courtois was injured in the first half of the second leg against Manchester City on March 17. Since then, the team’s record without him is clear: three losses, two draws, and two wins in the seven games he has missed.
