Mbappé trained at the same pace before the match on Saturday (2:00 p.m.) against Levante. Therefore, Arbeloa has two options: use the striker in his debut on the Santiago Bernabéu bench or give him extra rest thinking about the Champions League match on Tuesday against Monaco. The attacker traveled to Arabia to play in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona, but didn't play at the Carlos Belmonte.

The white '10' has been undergoing more than a month and a half recovery process after a sprain in his left knee suffered on December 7 in the defeat against Celta. He didn't play against Manchester City (December 10) and, in Vitoria (December 14), two tackles exacerbated the injury although he chose to continue playing.

During that period, Mbappé maintained the ambition to approach Cristiano Ronaldo's record of 59 goals in a season with Real Madrid and to help Xabi Alonso. He played full matches against Talavera and Sevilla. In the open training on December 30, he touched his knee and missed the matches against Betis (January 4) and in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Atlético (January 8). After that, he traveled to Arabia in a testimonial role (14 minutes) and did not play in the second cup match.

Fantasy recommendation

The schedule has been demanding for the forward with both the club and the national team. So far this season, he has accumulated 2,122 minutes only with Real Madrid: he has played in 25 out of 29 matches, scoring 29 goals and providing five assists. He agreed with his national team not to play against Iceland (October) or Azerbaijan (November).

As mentioned earlier, sports media like L'Équipe, El Desmarque, or the newspaper Sport are clear and rule him out for tomorrow. Forcing him would be a mistake, so we also see his participation against Levante as very unlikely and, therefore, our recommendation would be not to play him.

However, we will soon have clarity with Arbeloa's press conference, where he will provide information about the squad list and we will see if Kylian Mbappé is eventually called up or not.
