L'ESPORTIU: MÍCHEL HAS CLEAR THE STARTING ELEVEN HE WILL FIELD TOMORROW AGAINST RAYO
Girona FC, under Míchel's orders, is preparing for their LaLiga EA Sports debut with a lineup that combines undisputed starters and adjustments forced by injuries and absences. In the goal, Paulo Gazzaniga confirms his position as the starting goalkeeper, well above Krapyvtsov and Juan Carlos Martín in the coach's preferences.
On the right side, Arnau Martínez remains the first choice, surpassing the recently incorporated Hugo Rincón. However, the left side presents complications: Miguel Gutiérrez's injury and departure leave Daley Blind as the only alternative in that position. In the center of defense, David López and Krejcí form the starting pair, with new signing Reis as the main competitor, aiming to become a long-term fixture.
In the midfield, Míchel's usual 4-2-3-1 formation has Yangel Herrera and Jhon Solís as the only fully available options for the double pivot, as Iván Martín is returning from an injury, and Witsel and Lemar lack competitive rhythm. Solís, in addition, could be sent out on loan. Ahead, Yáser Asprilla looks set to play as the central playmaker, a role that Míchel has successfully tested in the preseason, moving him away from the wings where he played last season.
On the wings, Viktor Tsygankov is untouchable on the right when fully fit, while on the left, the lack of available players opens the door to Joel Roca as a starter. Up top, Cristhian Stuani has no rival and remains the indisputable offensive reference for the team.
