Rayo Vallecano vs Athletic: match set to resume

Rayo Vallecano

The match between Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Club, corresponding to matchday 8 and suspended due to the incidents recorded at the Estadio de Vallecas, now has a new date for its resumption.

The game will be resumed on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at 20:00, at the same venue, the Estadio de Vallecas. The main measure confirmed is that it will be played behind closed doors, so there will be no fans in the stands.

The suspension came after the throwing of objects onto the pitch by supporters of the Madrid side, in a protest aimed at the club president, Martín Presa. Those incidents prevented the clash from continuing normally.

Remember that it is not an extra matchday in Comunio or the rest of the fantasy games, since it was suspended once it had already started, so only the points for the matchday will be updated with the ones the players from that game earn.
