DLAsked about Mariano Diaz, Quique avoided labeling him as a starter or a substitute who changes games.
«There are no unquestionable starters and there are no players who are impact substitutes. For me, everyone is important», he explained.
In this way, Mariano keeps his options to make the starting XI, although he could also have a role from the bench.
Possible changes against Malaga
The coach acknowledged that some players are not going through their best moment, but insisted that his goal is to help them get back to their level.
Quique did not confirm specific changes to the lineup and made it clear that decisions will depend on performance and the team’s needs.
Regain defensive solidity and find the goals
The coach said that Alaves needs to correct the defensive errors that have cost them points and recover the attacking aggression from the opening matches.
Despite the poor run of form, he said he has full confidence in his players and believes that Mendizorroza must be key to getting back to winning by three points.
