DLLuís Castro confirmed that Karl Etta Eyong and Hugo Sotelo have returned to training, although their situations are different.
«Etta is already at 100% and we’ll see how it feels. Hugo is early, but Etta is possible», he explained.
The coach will decide together with the medical services whether it’s worth taking any risk, so Etta Eyong’s presence is still not guaranteed.
Ratkov and Requena gain prominence

DLThe coach highlighted the progress of Petar Ratkov and Dani Requena, two players who are moving closer to the level the technical staff demands.
«Requena and Petar are getting closer», he said, although he reminded that they need to translate what they show in training onto the pitch.
He also praised the growth of Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who has gone from having little involvement to enjoying more opportunities.
Toljan and Nacho: open competition at right-back

DFCastro made it clear that Jeremy Toljan and Nacho have his trust and that either could play at right-back.
«The two are very close to each other, with very different profiles. [...] They’ll play depending on the opponent», he explained.
That means neither has a guaranteed starting spot, and the choice will depend on the rival’s characteristics.
Possible changes against Athletic
With several matches packed into a few days, Castro acknowledged the importance of managing the squad well.
The coach said he now has more and more players ready to compete, which increases the options and internal competition.
However, he avoided giving specific clues about the starting XI and about other possible players with knocks ahead of the postponed match.
