The trip to Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes is presented as the next target for Raphinha, although there are still no guarantees that he will be available. The Brazilian continues to recover from a muscular edema in the back of his right thigh, and his participation will depend on how he feels over the next few days.

Before that European fixture, the FC Barcelona will have to face their LaLiga match against the Real Betis, scheduled for Saturday, October 17. As reported by Sergi Capdevila, a journalist for SPORT, the winger would also not be available for that game, meaning his absence would be extended by at least a few more days.

The situation is not new for Hansi Flick, who already had to do without the attacker against Getafe in LaLiga. Raphinha also did not form part of the Blaugrana squad that traveled to Istanbul to face Galatasaray this Tuesday.

The German coach had played down the seriousness of his discomfort, but the player's track record of muscular problems suggests extra caution is needed. The coaching staff does not want to rush his return and believes it is better to give him more time than to risk a relapse.
