Málaga - Real Sociedad

Match date: 18/10-18:30

Málaga Club de Fútbol

The boquerón side come into this game after securing an agonizing draw in a match where the team's level was from less to more, to the point that for many the draw could even have felt like a little too little, given the great performance the team produced in that game. Therefore, for this fixture, Funes is expected to bring some news to the starting XI, based on the performances of certain players, with Adrián Niño the one who looks set to make that step up to become the partner of a Chupe , who this season has looked a bit lost in the face of the big jump in category.

As for the possible absences for Málaga in this match, the return of José Salinas to the squad stands out after he was unable to play against Espanyol due to a contract clause between Málaga and the Catalan club regarding the loan of the Spanish full-back. On the other hand, Málaga's treatment room still has little in the way of updates today, with Diego Murillo and Jens Cajuste the closest to returning with the team over the coming weeks.

Real Sociedad

The Real Sociedad travel to Málaga this weekend after a hard-fought win by 3-2 against Deportivo. The txuri-urdin went 3-0 up, but they ended up needing time as the Galician side responded. Three important points that should help them keep growing and build confidence.

The clash at La Rosaleda presents itself as a good opportunity to maintain their good run, especially against a Málaga that is not putting in the season they were expected to and is still looking to find consistency. Real Sociedad will have to take advantage of their opponent's doubts to impose their style and secure another away win.

Matarazzo will have to change the XI due to the absence of Pablo Marín, sent off against Deportivo and suspended for this matchday. An absence that complicates the coach's plans, especially because of the accumulation of minutes for several players. The Europa League match must be taken into account when considering any possible rotation.
