Barcelona's medical staff have updates of different kinds ahead of Saturday's game at the Spotify Camp Nou. While Joan García is close to returning to the squad after overcoming his physical issues, Raphinha is in serious doubt for the match against Getafe.

The Brazilian again missed training on the pitch this Friday. His recovery continues with a specific exercise program in the gym, where he is trying to move past the swelling in the back of his right thigh. The injury occurred during his international camp with Brazil, when he felt discomfort in the second match against Australia.

His absence from the last training session before the game leaves the forward practically ruled out, although his withdrawal has not yet been officially confirmed.

Given this situation, Hansi Flick has several options to fill the centre-forward role. Gabriel Jesus and Adeyemi are the main candidates, without ruling out Dani Olmo or the youngster Hamza Abdelkarim.

The situation is more favorable for Joan García. The Catalan goalkeeper took part without restrictions in Friday's session after recovering from the discomfort in his right knee, which he suffered due to a bad movement during the match against Racing. That injury kept him out of the trip to face Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán, but now he is shaping up as one of the squad's surprises.

There is also good news with Éric García. The defender had left Spain's camp early due to swelling in his knee, although he is already working at the same pace as the rest of the squad. As a result, he will be available to the German coach for the match against the team coached by José Bordalás.

The confirmed absences for the Barcelona are Roony, Christensen and De Jong. The Dutchman has been training with the group for several days, but he still needs to regain competitive rhythm after the ligament rupture he has been carrying since the World Cup. Everything points to him not being included in the squad to face Getafe.
