Endrick could leave in January, with several teams interested

Real Madrid C.F.

The contrast with the Brazilian national team has been clear during this international break. Endrick has played 110 minutes in the two matches against Australia under Ancelotti: in the first, he scored a goal that was ultimately ruled out, and in the second, he provided an assist.

That level of involvement with Brazil comes as his participation in the Real Madrid continues to be minimal. A muscle injury suffered during pre-season kept him out of the early matches and, once he recovered, he still failed to carve out a place. His league tally is limited to four minutes against Elche.

The competition also does not help. Mbappé takes up a large share of the minutes in attack and Carlos Espí has gained ground after scoring against Espanyol and Elche in the closing stages of both games. Endrick, meanwhile, continues to wait for opportunities.

The precedent that could shape Endrick's decision

This is not the first time the 20-year-old forward has gone through a similar situation. Last season, he chose to leave on loan to Lyon and found the playing time he was looking for. He played 21 matches in the second half of the campaign, scored eight goals and provided five assists. That output also helped him regain prominence with Brazil and get into the plans of the national team for the World Cup.

The scenario could have changed again last summer. Endrick's loan to Roma was practically agreed, but Mourinho asked him to stay in Madrid. The Brazilian accepted because his priority was still to succeed with Real Madrid and he wanted to compete for a spot during the season.

Now, the lack of minutes is once again putting January on the horizon. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are preparing a new push to try to sign the forward during the winter transfer window.
